47 Beavers
To further spread robotics access, our team decided to start doing outreach internationally over the past few years.
US-Syria Robotics Exchange
From Syria over Zoom, students started by building the mBot2 and then coding it. They learned to use RGB and ultrasonic sensors, program shapes, and navigate mazes with the robot. Even with limited resources, they picked up robotics quickly and gained many new skills. We taught the kids how to use the RGB sensor on the mBot2 through Zoom. They sent us this video showing the sensor in action and how it can detect different colors. It was a great way to see their learning put into practice.

Ethiopia Robotics Sessions

We connected with the Principal of MayDay Middle School in Ethiopia to introduce robotics education and FIRST. We held free FaceTime sessions with students, sharing an overview of our team and hosting an engaging Q&A. We also told them about core robotics concepts, which we will expand on by coordinating a two‑week programming and robot workshop for foundational robotics skills.

Nepal Robotics Presentation
We presented to more than 60 students, all 7th through 9th graders, at the Shubhakamana School in Kathmandu, Nepal. This first experience with robotics sparked extreme interest in the students there, who previously had not had access to STEM and robotics programs. In spite of limited funds, the Headmaster is now actively advocating for robotics within their community.
India Robotics Demonstration
We presented to tons of 7th and 9th graders at the Oxford Senior Secondary School in Bangalore, India. We introduced them to FIRST robotics programs and the true scope of robotics. This spread interest in robotics, engineering, and STEM concepts among the excited students.
