North South Foundation - Feb, March 2024

NSF is a charity that supports economically deprived children in India for educational access by conducting academic competitions and classes in the US

We promoted robotics at NSF promotions and competitions

  • 300+ attendees from DMV area, both kids & adults

  • Led to the creation of new FLL teams.

Shri Yoga Day - March 2024

  • The vision of shri yoga is to provide everyone opportunity to learn yoga techniques in a family friendly environment

  • Our team booths so kids could drive around our robot and learn about some robotics opportunities in our community, such as:

    • BeaverCamps

    • FLLCamps

    • FIRST competitions

    • Online resources to learn about robot-building

Rockville Science Day - April 2024

  • Rockville Science Day is an annual public science fair

  • Our team held a booth so kids could drive around our robot and learn about some robotics opportunities in our community, such as:

    • BeaverCamps

    • RoboCamps

    • FIRST competitions

    • Online resources to learn about robot-building

  • Showcased mock-FTC games with other local FTC teams for students

Coding With Teens - Summer 2024

  • An 8-week fulfilling summer camp in Jul-Aug at Gaithersburg Library for 3-6 graders

    • Highly interactive with a 3:1 student:teacher ratio

    • Taught kids the basic principles of coding using Scratch

    • Many kids came from across the county

BeaverCamps -

Summer 2024

As a part of our goal to expand STEM opportunities to those without easy accessibility, our team hosts its own series of academic summer camps focused on building foundational STEM skills.

  • Courses offered to a variety of age and skill ranges

  • Skills taught function as fundamental stepping-stones to more advanced concepts

  • Taught by fellow team members

 

We offer a variety of subjects as well, such as: 

  • Robotic Design 

  • Physics

  • Mathematics

  • Programming

We hope to expand BeaverCamps in the future by holding in-person and online sessions during the summers, as well as having sessions throughout the school year for students who are interested.

Robotics Club - Fall 2024

  • The program is a five-week initiative designed for students in grades 4 through 7.

  • During the program, participants worked in teams of four to build the mBot robot and learned to program it using MakeBlock software.

  • They successfully programmed their robots to navigate through a maze, showcasing their problem-solving and teamwork skills.

  • The session concluded with a friendly competition among the four teams, adding an exciting and engaging finale to the experience.

Robotics Club in Charlotte, N.C - November 2024

  • Friends and family from Charlotte, NC were motivated by our team’s summer challenge performance and showed inclination of interest towards Robotics.

  • We helped students at Ballantyne Ridge High School, Charlotte, North Carolina to form a Robotics Club.

    • Video explaining the FIRST program, its goals and initiatives and about First Tech Challenge and First Robotics Challenge.

      • Positive response with a club of 34 members, and 12 officers

        • Learning CAD and programming

STEMFest Extravaganza - November 2024

  • With Gaithersburg library, we organized the STEMfest Extravaganza in the Maryland STEM Festival month in order to promote STEM education. We ignited curious young minds with fun hands-on activities

  • Marshmallow towers and Lego bridges

  • Blue block paths and marble runs

  • Balloon-powered cars and paper rockets

ICMS Meeting - November 2024

ICMS (Innovating, Consulting and Management Services) is a leading consulting firm specializing in Management Services, IT Solutions and Facilities Services.

  • Shared our outreach initiatives to spread STEM in the community to further education in robotics.

  • Showcased our robot and its capabilities

  • Became a financial supporter and sponsor for 47 Beavers

Season Kickoff -

September 2024

Infinia Dental Lab - December 2024

Infinia Dental Lab is a state-of-the-art facility specializing in the fabrication of high-quality dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants. Infinia uses advanced technologies and materials, such as CAD/CAM systems, to deliver consistent and superior results.

  • We toured the workspace and observed advanced 3D printers and scanners in action.

  • We also presented about our robot using CAD.

  • Learned about the integration of 3D printing in dental applications.

  • Explored how similar technology could be applied in robotics and other fields.

  • Gained insight into the production process and material usage in 3D printing.
